Come do your PhD at LACITO!

LACITO is part of a larger academic complex called SPC or USPC – for Université Sorbonne Paris–Cité. USPC includes a number of universities of eastern Paris (Paris-III Sorbonne Nouvelle, INALCO…) as well as a range of research departments within CNRS, covering a variety of scientific disciplines… and this includes Linguistics.

215px-Logo_Sorbonne_Paris_Cité.svg[1]SPC just launched a new funding scheme for 2016, called INSPIRE. It takes the form of 30 PhD fellowships, for international candidates of all disciplines. If you are (or know) a motivated Masters student who would like to do a PhD in Paris, this fellowship may be for you!

But beware: the deadline for applications is 15 January 2016, which is very soon.  All details can be found on INSPIRE’s homepage.

You can find here the description of options for Social sciences and Humanities, including Linguistics. LACITO is mentioned on pp. 10 and 16. A list of potential PhD supervisors from LACITO can be found on our page (in the French system, a PhD thesis can be supervised by a “Directeur or Directrice de recherche”, or “Professeur”). Feel free to contact us if you are interested.
