Come do your PhD at LACITO!

LACITO is part of a larger academic complex called SPC or USPC – for Université Sorbonne Paris–Cité. USPC includes a number of universities of eastern Paris (Paris-III Sorbonne Nouvelle, INALCO…) as well as a range of research departments within CNRS, covering a variety of scientific disciplines… and this includes Linguistics.

215px-Logo_Sorbonne_Paris_Cité.svg[1]Just like last year, SPC is launching a new 2017 round for its funding scheme, called INSPIRE (for “INterdiSciPlinarity and excellence for doctoral training of International REsearchers in Paris”). It takes the form of 31 PhD fellowships, meant for international candidates of all disciplines. If you are (or know) a motivated Masters student who would like to do a PhD in Paris, this fellowship may be for you!

The deadline for applications is 9 January 2017.  All details can be found on INSPIRE’s homepage.

You can find here the description of options for Social sciences and Humanities, including Linguistics. LACITO is mentioned on pp. 10 and 16. A list of potential PhD supervisors from LACITO can be found on our page (in the French system, a PhD thesis can be supervised by a “Directeur / Directrice de recherche”, or a “Professeur”). Feel free to contact us if you are interested.

[NB:  If you are interested in applying to LACITO as a researcher or a university professor, you may be more interested in this presentation.]
